Hi, i had The Nikon 600mm F/4 AF-I (the big old first AF version ), and it didn't come with a hood at all. i looked on the internet and found out that it needs the HK-18 hood, but they don't make it anymore. so, just wondering if this could fit my 600mm ?thanks, lou
If the 600 has the right thread size, yes, although for the 600 I think you'd want a much longer hood. This one collapses so it can work wide or mid tele lenses, primarily for the variable ND filter they make. But it would do some good. Again, not easy to keep a cap on with it as it does not have extra threads for that use.
