RoadRags II Scrim Frame (24 x 36") is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Scrim but Frame is not Durable I'm a ENG camera operator and in terms of easy setup and storage its one of the best portable scrims Ive come across for reporter stand ups ect Unfortunately, even with caution in a breeze it doesn't take much for a crack to develop where the gold frame joins to the black attachment. When the crack become bigger it wont connect. I purchased a second one and was naturally even more careful but a small unexpected gust caused the same thing to happen. I am probably going to purchase a third (because it is cheap and I still have the fabric scrim) but will perhaps only take out on a dead still day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for on the go. I have used the road rag 2 travel set along with the scrim frame on a number of video projects around the world. They are lite, durable and compact! Perfect for on the go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Awesome I have been a California Sunbounce Micro Mini user for 10 years and have just switched to this for my reflector system. The Road Rags II setup is awesome. It folds and stores in almost zero space and opens to become a 24x36 reflector, flag, or scrim holder. The unit has a bungee cord inside so it nearly assembles itself when opened for use. Simply slide your modifier over the ends and voila: a simple and complete systematic approach to light modification. Even better! If you are a speed light user and have umbrella brackets, the shaft that goes into a holder bracket fits right into the hole for an umbrella on like a Photek or Impact or Lumopro umbrella bracket. This is amazing as there is no other expense to attach it to a nightstand or if you need an umbrella bracket, $20 is better than $100! My advice, get one and you'll be ready for anything on location or in the studio. I love it and am getting more frames and panels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong & Compact The RoadRags frames are perfect for the name implies. They are strong and compact, easy to put together and take apart. No issues whatsoever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential Grip Gear for Run and Gun Crew... Folds down to nothing, pops up to real flag rigidity... Easy to tuck into a case.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice and portable We're bringing the roadrag with us to Tanzania to use in the sun and get hopefully nice light from it. So far in testing out the device it's light, portable and easy to pack up. Everything we need in filming overseas

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for travel These road rags kits work great! I use them a lot. The standard kit comes with 2 frames, but 4 rags, so as shoots come up where I think i'll be needing to fly more than two rags at once I purchase extra frames. I travel by air a great deal for my shoots so being compact, durable, and light weight is very important to me and the road rags system is all of the above.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Portable Light Control for the Masses As a one-man band I needed to add light control to my existing lighting kit, but it had to be portable for both transport and storage in-between shoots. RoadRags to the rescue. Working out of a mini-van I simply don't have the room for a large wood storage box full of flags, scrims and silks. The RoadRags system is lightweight and versatile. I can easily swap out flags, scrims and silks as needed using a handful of frames. I have six frames and assorted flags and scrims stored in a KATA Palms-2 case with all my grip and light control accessories (dimmers, scrims, spare lamps, etc.). RoadRags do cost more up front, but the savings kicks in when I never have to ship full frames round trip to the Matthews factory to have torn and damaged flags replaced. You can reorder new RR frames or flags as needed at a fraction of the shipping costs. If you're not working out of a grip truck you need to take a serious look at the RoadRags system.
