It was said to work with an Olympus E500. Got the remote and it doesn't do a thing. I made sure to turn the remote function on the in the camera and nothing at all.

Sorry, no, this will not work on that camera. For wireless remote control, you can use your smartphone and the OLYMPUS Image Share ( OI.Share) app. You can get it here: https://bit.ly/2QUmKRd If you want a more traditional method, you can use a wired remote. question

DOES IT WORK ON OLYMPUS E510?
Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately, Olympus states that the Olympus Wireless Remote Control RC-300C is compatible for use with the Olympus Evolt E-510 DSLR camera. As the Olympus RM-1 Wireless Infrared Remote for use with the E-510 has been discontinued and is no longer avaialble, the Vello IR-O1 Infrared Remote Control for Select Olympus Cameras, B&H # VEIRO1, would be the current replacement camera we carry that would work for your needs.https://bhpho.to/2pbr7dv

question

would the above remote work with my Olympus OMD EM5 micro 4/3 camera? If not, what do you recommend?
Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately, the RC-300C is not compatible with the OM-D E-M5. From Olympus, you could use the RM-UC1 (B&H# OLRMUC1). For a wireless option, you could look at the FreeWave Wireless Remote Shutter Release for Nikon and Olympus Kit (VERWO2K).
