Flash Frame FF100 overview

  • 1Description

The FlashFlip keeps the flash high and directly over the camera lens in the horizontal and vertical positions. This eliminates red-eye and unwanted side shadows. By having the flash high above the lens, shadows are cast behind the subject and are therefore not seen in the photograph.

The FlashFlip works with most 35mm cameras and shoe-type flashes. Supplied with locking shoe and 1/4-20 flash mounts. All metal construction. Made in USA.

Flash Frame FF100 reviews

FlashFlip Flash Bracket is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a 40D after mods Needed an inexpensive off-camera flash bracket for the occasional portrait. Lightweight, but nice and solid in landscape and portrait configurations! Works really well for a Sigma EF-610 DG Super, Vello cord and my Canon 40D AFTER mods (1/2 hr)... Do NOT view the mods as a negative for this item, as ALL the >$100 frames have the same issue - not enough/too much room for the shutter hand between the right side handgrip and the right side of the frame. MOD#1: removed the foam grip - pulls off easy. MOD#2: tap a new hole between hole #s 2 & 3 to move the 40D's right side a 1/4 next to the right side of the frame. This way, I can grip AROUND the outside of the frame, reach the shutter and it's still a very natural feel. For the new hole: Mark the spot with your body's tripod mount(CAREFUL not to bind the body's bottom right corner against the frame's bottom right bend), drill a 3/16 hole, tap new 1/4-20 threads - and Bob's your uncle - perfect fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bracket for my Pentax K-7 The bracket enables me to have the external flash oriented properly for all photos. The bracket has 4 holes on the bottom leg which allows the camera to mount in different positions relative to the upright handle. This gives me room to hold the camera. The external flash fits well into the slot. This bracket is solid and well made. I'm glad I bought it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Some improvements needed Works well. but the thumb wings on the connection bolt feel a bit cheap and is not recessed, so be careful when you set your rig down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Very solid and well built. American made, and this time, it is a good thing.
