xlr female to rca male audio interconnect. Are this cable balance?
Hi Ray,
This cable is unbalanced. One end is RCA, which is an unbalanced connection type. In order to take advantage of the benefits of a balanced cable, the two devices you are connecting must support balanced audio transmission using either XLR or TRS connections.

question
What ohmage is the cable?
Audio cables do not have an ohmage . This cable is designed to connect the output of pro audio equipment to an audio input of consumer equipment. Most pro audio equipment is designed to drive low impedance (>600 ohms) loads. Consumer equipment audio inputs in general are high impedance inputs (>10,000 ohms). Low impedance outputs can easily drive high impedance inputs, so you should have no problem using this cable. Note that the cable connects pins 1 (the common or ground pin) and 3 (the low side of the pro equipment output) of the xlr connector to the shell (ground) of the RCA plug. This connection should not pose a problem with most pro audio gear, however you may want to check your pro equipment manual. Also note that this cable is NOT designed to interconnect digital audio signals.
