it's a simple enough piece of technology but it's very useful. I use it in conjunction with a clamp on my shelf to mount a microphone to my desk. Solid, works great.
I bought this to use as an extension for my desk top (base) set-up. Works great. It brings my dynamic mic a few inches closer.
