I got this to use mostly as a stand for photographing miscellaneous small objects. I wanted to easily move it around the room with various backdrops, positions, lighting, etc. Easy access from all sides, variable heights, etc. It does all this with ease and is higher quality and built more solidly than I'd expected. I can spread various fabrics or sheets of textured material on top, hang fabrics behind it, etc. I'm really happy with it.

Are there flat feet available for this item instead of casters?

This posing table does not move that easily because the casters are probably lower quality than other casters...so you don't have to worry about it not being too stable. For the money this works, but I could see getting a better quality one in the future.
