Wimberley M-6 Overview

Wimberley has a system of flash bracket components that are modular, versatile and easily stowed in a small space when not in use.  Known as the Shape-Shifter Modular Flash Bracket System, the components connect without tools.  None of the combinations slip, twist or creep-even during intense action.  They're integrated with the venerable Arca-Swiss type quick release system, now dominant as the industry standard for macro and telephoto shooting.

Module 6 of the Shape-Shifter flash bracket system is a post that allows you to extend the height of your flash bracket to reduce red-eye in subjects.  The module attaches to the vertical arm of our flash brackets(Combo 1, Combo 4, etc.) using the same captive fastener system found on several other modules in the system.

Module 6 gives you up to 5" of extension.  If more spacing is desired multiple extension posts can be combined.

The system is integrated with the venerable Arca-Swiss type quick release system, now dominant as the industry standard for macro and telephoto shooting.
The flash brackets work best with Wimberley quick-release plates, but will often work with other Arca-Swiss style plates.
No Tools, No Creep, No Lost Parts
Wimberley's modular Shape Shifter system needs no tools for use.  Components quickly and easily connect to one another, with a design that makes creep or twist during use simply impossible.  All knobs are captive, and cannot fall off accidentally from being unscrewed too far.

When you need more extension

It's very versatile as you can position the knob on the left or the right. The end where you connect to the main body holding your flash or whatever also has several positions. I own several of these and use them in combination to reach more height.

Needed if you frequently shoot wildlife flash and use a gimbal head, and want to check steel and red eye. Typical stout W BQ.
