Lowel Barndoor for Omni Light Overview

The Lowel Complete 4-Leaf Barndoor Set for the Omni Light includes a frame with two rectangular and two triangular leaves which are all expandable. It rotates 360° and holds up to two Lowel Omni accessories.

Barndoors narrow the beam spread of a light fixture. They help create a 3-dimensional look to a lighting scheme by placing light in a specific area or by keeping it away.

Each barndoor leaf has a sub-leaf that extends, which adds to its light-shaping ability.

No complaints about these barn doors, work as expected

Works as advertised with the Omni Light, build quality is solid. I have always thought these were overpriced but hey, it's photo/video equipment.

question

Would this melt from the heat if it were put on work lights?
Asked by: Lynn S.
Well work lights get extremely hot but this set of barn doors are made of metal. So no, they will not melt but they could burn the HELL out of you if you're not careful.

question

Are these supposed to be made to fit 7 reflectors? Like on Dynalites?
Asked by: Marcus
These are specific to the Lowel Omni continuous light - there's a thin slot on the rectangular frame that snaps on over the edge of the Omni reflector. I don't believe they would be compatible with a Dynalite reflector.
