Matthews Super Mafer Clamp Overview

The Matthews Super Mafer Clamp with 5/8" Pin - Black is strong enough to withstand greater clamping pressure than any other clamp of its kind. The protective pads in the jaws have superb gripping action.

The end of the Mafer Clamp has a locking Baby (5/8") female receptor which accepts accessories with matching studs as well as the included 5/8" (16 mm) snap-in pin.

Uses include pipe, stand, flex-arm or flag mounting.

A Baby (5/8" diameter) snap-in pin is included for mounting light fixtures.
Snap-in pins have a hexagonal end that locks into place in the Mafer Clamp, assuring a tight grip.

I do not recommend buying this product at all. The product arrived with 2 important parts missing. After a few months the other products arrived. It is important to note that there is no customer service, no warranty as listed on the website and you do not get your money back. The product arrived broken in the front part. And I tried to talk to customer service but they do nothing - even if I return it they want me to pay $1,000 shipping!!! Be careful buying from this store

Is this good for mounting a Camera to a C-Stand or what other options are available?

If mounting a camera to the clamp while it is attached to the column of a C-stand, you could use the Matthews Baby Ballhead Adapter B&H # MABBHA and ball head such as the Matthews BH-30 Ball Head B&H # MABH30. You can also use the Babt Ballhead Adapter on the top of the C-stand stud. Please see the following images below.

The Super Mafer is designed to securely bite up to a 2" diameter. The 3" Matthellini PN:420101 is designed to clamp onto a diameter up to 3".

No. It comes with just a male "baby" pin. No 1/4-20 without buying a separate pin. B&H sold both by a non-Matthews brand but they were pricy.

When removed from the Super Mafer the pin itself is 3-7/8", when secured in the clamp 2-7/8" from the surface of the clamp to the tip of the baby pin.
