It's designed to slip onto the body of the mic and sit around its head, allowing the user to hold the mic or place it in Lyre-suspended shockmounts. If you're conducting an outdoor interview with either a handheld or low-profile boom mic, this windshield makes a suitable choice.

No, the Rycote 011002 BBG Windshield is not compatible for use with the RODE NT4 X/Y Stereo Condenser Microphone. For compatible wind protection to use with the NT4, we have the Rycote Mini Windjammer for Rode NT4 (B&H # RYMWRNT4), the RODE Dead Kitten Artificial Fur Wind Shield (B&H # RODEADKITTEN), and the RODE WS4 Windscreen for NT4 Microphone (B&H # ROWS4).

No, the Rycote 011002 BBG Windshield for Handheld or Boom-Mounted Interview Mics is intended for use with microphones that have a 22mm diameter. It will not fit a microphone with a 23mm diameter.

Will this end cap fit on the Rycote Windshield #4? They don't sell the individual replacement caps so I'm looking for a cheaper option.
The Rycote Baby Ball Gag Windshield will not work as replacement end cap for the Rycote windshield kit #4. You will require Rycote MFR # 018501. It is a replacement part (Mono Modular Windshield End Cap) sold at cost through their parts store.

This windshield has a diameter that is too large for the Tetramic. We do carry a model made specifically for the mic, which is the Rycote Modular Windshield TetraMic Kit, B&H # RY086047.

This Rycote Baby Ball Gag is designed to fit microphones with a shank diameter of 25mm. The Sony ECM-MS2 microphone has a 24mm diameter and it is 137mm long. The length is similar to the Sennheiser mics that are compatible, so it may work for the ECM-MS2. You may need to add another grommet or a little bit of padding for a tighter fit around the mic since the ECM-MS2 is 1mm thinner. We have not tested the Rycote BBG Windshield with the Sony mic to confirm that it will fit, but based on the dimensions, it may work.
