The Rycote 25mm BBG Windshield is designed to slip onto the body of a compatible microphone and provides up to 30 dB of wind-noise attenuation. This makes the BBG a suitable partner for compatible microphones in handheld situations (i.e. interview contexts), as well as when shock-mounted with a Lyre suspension.

This Rycote Baby Ball Gag is designed to fit microphones with a shank diameter of 25mm. The Sony ECM-MS2 microphone has a 24mm diameter and it is 137mm long. The length is similar to the Sennheiser mics that are compatible, so it may work for the ECM-MS2. You may need to add another grommet or a little bit of padding for a tighter fit around the mic since the ECM-MS2 is 1mm thinner. We have not tested the Rycote BBG Windshield with the Sony mic to confirm that it will fit, but based on the dimensions, it may work.

Unfortunately even the largest Rycote BBG Windshield (0.98" diameter) would be too narrow for the Rode NT4 (1.3" diameter).

With a specified compatible diameter of 25mm, the Rycote BBG Windshield (25mm) may be slightly big for pairing with the Beyerdynamic M201TG. It may be more preferable to size down to BH #RYBBG22 which specifies a compatible diameter of 22mm instead, which may provide a bit of a snug fit but will at least ensure that the BBG is not loose on the microphone.

No, the Rycote 011002 BBG Windshield is not compatible for use with the RODE NT4 X/Y Stereo Condenser Microphone. For compatible wind protection to use with the NT4, we have the Rycote Mini Windjammer for Rode NT4 (B&H # RYMWRNT4), the RODE Dead Kitten Artificial Fur Wind Shield (B&H # RODEADKITTEN), and the RODE WS4 Windscreen for NT4 Microphone (B&H # ROWS4).

Will this end cap fit on the Rycote Windshield #4? They don't sell the individual replacement caps so I'm looking for a cheaper option.
The Rycote Baby Ball Gag Windshield will not work as replacement end cap for the Rycote windshield kit #4. You will require Rycote MFR # 018501. It is a replacement part (Mono Modular Windshield End Cap) sold at cost through their parts store.
