Can this hold a 21" LED flapjack light (about 7-8lbs), say mounted as overhead/straight-down for table shooting? (via SuperClamp attached to table, then Avenger grip-head to angle this pole 45º, then LED light pointed down towards table) Also, same question, but for mounting a Sony A7iii camera/lens setup (about 1400gram or 3lbs setup) for overhead/straight-down shooting on table?(via SuperClamp attached to table, then Avenger grip-head to angle this pole 45º, then small ballhead, then camera/lens setup pointed down towards table)

How long is it?

I believe is 21 3/4 . I use it for holding small lights or light shades when shooting macro photography in a studio.

question

Will this work atop a Manfrotto 5001 stand with the 124 clamp?
Asked by: Anonymous
The 5001B stand is way too small to securely support a boom arm, pivot clamp, and whatever you are going to put on the end of the arm. And the top section of tubing is too thin to accept the 124 pivot clamp.I would suggest you go with a stand like the 1052BAC or similar.

question

what size is the diameter of the pole. 35mm? etc.
Asked by: Anonymous
The correct answer as to the diameter of the Mini Boom is 19 mm or 3/4 . I purchased the Manfrotto Mini Boom Kit which included the arm, 2 clamps, and a 3 lb weight. I also purchased the 124 Pivoting Clamp which is improperly advertised for the 3085 Arm. The Manfrotto Clamp will fit any boom arm that is 19mm, 20mm, 25mm, and 28mm.
