Smith-Victor P920 Pinnacle Tripod Reviews

Durable and sturdy

I am a high school film teacher and these are the only tripods I have found that stand up to the abuse that my film and photography students put them through. I used to think of inexpensive tripods as disposable after seeing what happened to them in the hands of 15 year-olds, and expensive tripods were just a waste of money. These last and endure. They are not as fluid as I would personally like for my own use, but if you want something that will last and not break your wallet, this is probably a good bet.

Very nice tripod !

I use a tripod almost daily to take photos of my leather products. I've been using a trusty old Sears model I got 42 years ago. It started to fail and after nursing it along a few more months cheap old me finally decided to replace it. Well, I wish I had purchased this new P920 Pinnacle a long time ago. I don't know that I'll get 42 years of service out of it but I doubt I'll be here that much longer either. This new one is extremely lightweight and easily adjusted. I use it mainly in my workshop at Brookwood Leather but taking it along on a hike will be easy with the built in handle and the light weight construction. I also like the quick detach feature.
