Matthews Sandbags come in a variety of shapes and weights. They are used for securing the bases of light stands and set walls. Many have handles, for hanging on hooks or risers. Some have two wings, to allow draping over light stand legs.
Most are cordura nylon, some are vinyl covered and waterproof.
Some models of sandbags are shipped empty, for convenience and economy. They can be filled with sand, or any type of weight you provide, and emptied for storage, or transport.

Orange waterproof vinyl shell with handle.

Water Repellant Sandbag - 15 lb is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tops These bags are tops. Fabric bags slip on slippery floors while these stay put. Their traffic safety color is scoffed upon by some, but I think they make it less likely that someone will trip over them. I put one under my knees when I have to get down for a low angle shot. I've owned 4 of them for over 10 years and they have never leaked a grain. Just wash them off with soap and water every couple years and they keep on working great.
