Would there be a reason I wouldn't want water repellent sand bags? The nonwater repellent sand bags are only $2 cheaper... wish I could get the water repellent ones in black but other than that is there any other reasoning?
If you will always be working away from water, such as in a studio environment, then the non-water repellent sand bags would be fine. However, it doesn't hurt that extra sense of security in case the bags happen to get wet,

What would you sugg3est to hild each bag for outside travel. Canvas bag?
You can use the Impact Milk Crate (Full-Size) or the Impact CC-210 Cable Crate with Lid (Black, 40L) or possibly the Impact LKB-4C Light Kit Bag (Black) for moving to a location, or if you mean to hang it from a stand, you can use a canvas bag, or the existing straps can hang from a J-hook on a mafer clamp or super clamp.
