The replacement knob for the stand adapter of this boom is the Matthews 5/16 Knurled T-Knob B&H # MAT516K. Please see the image below for reference.

Is that a standard gobo head used on the boom? Mine broke and need to replace. Thanks.
Thanks all. I contacted Matthews and learned that the head on the mini boom is identical to the standard matthews gobo head with one exception - the bolt is shorter on the mini boom head.

question
what is the best mathews c stand for this boom?
You'd first have to figure out the total load you'd be using. The arm is 7.5 lbs, can hold between 8 to 10 lbs, and then there's the necessary counterweights. As an example, I plan to use this on a Matthews C-stand with a 5 lb counterweight and a monolight with modifier just under 7 lbs. This is 19.5 lbs total which is under the 22 lbs limit of their C-stands.

question
My kit weighs about 8.2lbs before I add the octabox. The strobe and the speedring weigh about 8.2lbs. Would I be able to add the octa and still be solid ?
Yes, we put a Diva 400 on it - about 10lbs and it handled the weight fine with a 6' extension. good luck
