Slik 611-352 overview

  • 1Description

This sturdy mini tripod comes supplied with a 2-way pan head with a pan handle to make moving a camera mounted on the tripod easier.

As a compact traveler tripod, the Slik Mini Pro V is less than 8 inches long when packed up and weighs less than a pound. Like the other tripods in the Mini Pro line, this model has a suction cup at the base of the center column which will allow the tripod to be "stuck" onto a window or smooth metal surface for picture taking*.

The Mini Pro V can also be used as a chest-pod by raising the center column half way or more and placing the legs against your chest to stabilize the camera.

*Note: Suction cup will not support a camera weighing more than 1 lb.

Has suction cup at bottom of center column for extra stability
Compact and light-weight, while still sturdy

    Mini-Pro V Tripod with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head - Supports 3.3 lb (1.5 kg) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this Tripod I use this with a light tent to do product photography, macro photography, ... I love this tripod however there is one glaring annoyance; it wont tilt up and down. I didn't think this would be as big a deal as it is. I'm constantly wanting to tilt the camera angle down or up depending on what I'm shooting. You can do this in a limited way by adjusting the legs, however, at times it drives me nuts. Overall though I'm really glad I bought this, for the price, it was worth buying and it does come in very handy for me. Also, I have a Canon XSi with kit lens and I can put it in Landscape or Portrait orientation and this tripod holds the camera just fine if I set the legs right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small In Stature, Big In Utility I film football games for a high school in Indianapolis, IN. We are playing in Lucas Oil Stadium and where you film from is very high up, but the location has a counter in front of it so it is difficult to set up a standard tripod and film. The Slik Mini-Pro V allows me to set up the camera on the counter and so the films will be smooth with no jerking due to trying to move the tripod, the Mini-Pro V will insure easy panning. The tripod is light weight, but strong enough to handle a Canon GL2. The only wish I have is it needs a carrying case with strap so you can easily carry it with all of the other equipment.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A bit disappointed... A bit pricier than most comparable tabletop tripods with p/t heads. Was hoping for smoother pan action based on other reviews. Pan is OK, but it's still metal on metal. Was hoping for something more fluid-like, as in my old Velbon full-size tripod. (Unfortunately, the Velbon tabletop tripod looks too tall for my uses.) Can't help but feel I'd have been just as happy with a cheaper Sunpak. Of course, it does tilt as well, unlike (mistakenly) stated in another review. Does seem sturdy. Also would've preferred a quick release plate or ability to tilt camera 90 degrees (portrait mode) for this price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Tabletop Accessory This is a great little tabletop tripod and eliminates the need for a steadybag to frame a shot. It's controls are sturdy and professional, though not quite like a fluid head. It works perfectly with both my video cam and my still cams. I do wish I could lock the legs so they wouldn't have to be flat out to hold a heavier camera steady. Maybe they can make a spreader? It's also handy while I'm uploading video to my computer. And looks cool on my desktop.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good compact tripod Good little tripod which folds up and fits in the top compartment of my lowepro sling bag. The build quality of this unit is adequate and provides enough support for my Canon 40d and various lenses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weightless, pocket sized, unobtrusive I use this when a full size tripod is perceived as being intrusive. If you have ever video taped people in public and have used a full size tripod then you have seen looks of shock and disapproval. Spontaneity never returns. The low profile and almost full sized performance have greatly improved my recording sessions. Because of its small size I am afraid of leaving it behind while I am outdoors in a park setting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tripod! I used this with MyStudio Table Top and it held up my Canon 5D and a 100mm 2.8L lens. Fantastic and really sturdy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this Tripod Experience: Video ProfessionalThis is an awesome product. I purchased with my HF11 for home recordings and I am so glad I spent the extra $5-$8 for this versus the cheaper table tripods. Not only is it a solid mini tripod, it also works great as a chest-pod stabilizing system, great for filming freehand. I can also fit this tripod in my camcorder bag. The camera mounts and dismounts very easily.
