The Cavision MB385PW wide, clamp on Matte Box accepts 3x3 filters of various types; it features two filter holders and the ability to work with industrial cameras to smaller Mini DV camcorders.

This model incorporates a 85mm back mount opening for use with the optional ARP series adapter rings that will snap into the back-mount of the matte box; you can then use it in combination with the step down rings to various diameters.

Two Filter Holders
One holder is stationary while the other filter holder rotates to work with polarizers and special effect filters.
Ideal for use on smaller cameras and when mobility is required.
Filter Type
This device will accept glass, resin and P-type filters; one circular filter of 105mm can be used as well.
Wider Sunshade
This unit offers a wider sunshade than standard; this works well for wider angle lenses and 16:9 aspect ratios.
This matte box can also be used with select Cavision support systems.

MB385PW Wide 3x3 Matte Box is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Solid, But 3 Filters Hard To Find This thing is a solid matte box. It works great with my T2i and is perfect size for a DSLR. Its price is fair for what it is, unlike most matte boxes...I guess maybe I'm crazy but paying over $1000 for what amounts to a glorified sun shade (pro matte box) is just a little ridiculous/not worth it. At $ this thing is a deal. Obviously no french flags, etc but the main problem with it is the seriously lack of availability of 3x3 filters! Its nearly impossible to find any 3 Neutral Density or Polarizer filters out there. The stupidest part of this problem is that Cavision themselves actually makes them, but you cant buy them from any retailer that i've been able to find so I'll have to contact @ i guess which is probably gonna cost a lot more than normal in shipping. * oh well...should of looked before I bought it. Live and learn I guess.I just don't understand why B&H can't just stock the 3x3 ND, polarizer, etc?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cost effective solution I shoot with a VDSLR camera which I need ND filters. This is a great solution if you already 15mm rail set up. It is solid build and the filter holders work fine although sometimes can get a little stuck. Also doesn't come with any screws to mount onto the Rails which is essential.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from solid construction This matte box is solidly constructed. The hood is a firm but flexible rubber. The filter trays sit tightly in their slots and the rotating tray is also very stiff. I mean that as a positive - I'd rather these kinds of elements be on the tighter side so they stay in place. On the fixed tray, there is a small tightening screw on the side, I assume this is to hold in larger Cokin P Series square filters, at least that's how I've been keeping the filters in there. (You need to remove the filter tray when using these particular filters - they sit loose in the slot) I'm a big fan of Cavision products, this isn't the first one I've bought and won't be the last. Recommended. The only criticism here (and with most Cavision products) is Cavision's lack of documentation. This stuff is for people who are comfortable with this kind of gear and know how to set it up and use it. It comes foam-packed in a box - no documents, no instructions.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It is not Wider The only difference between this and the regular 3x3 mattebox is that this one has four corners. It is the same width as the regular one. The wide version can not be connected with the french flag which I hated the most. I recommend the regular version.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not compatible with cavision rod support It's an alright matte box, made of rubber so it doesn't hold its shape perfectly. This model is not compatible with the Cavision rod support that I purchased with it. I ended up stripping the holes trying to get them to work together so i cant return it. one of the clamps is messed up on the filter holder. overall I'm disappointed, but if your using it as a clamp on matte box it works great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice little matte box. Im using this product with a 15mm rails system. Its very sturdy and affordable. Works well with the T-bracket offered by Cavision. Would be nice if it had a hinge that allowed it to fly away on the rails to change lenses. However, it is a nice mattebox of the cost.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice and fast description says it will hold cokin p filters, but in fact they go in and slip right out the bottom. there is no documentation with this either. no info on installation or anything atall
