The Bushnell Velocity Speed Gun can be set to measure in both MPH a KPH. To change unit of measure from MPH to KPH and vice versa, make sure the unit is “ON”. Next, pull the trigger and leave engaged and quickly press the button underneath the LCD display (quick presses of the button underneath the LCD display will toggle between MPH and KPH). The unit of measure will be displayed in the top right hand corner of the LCD display. When you are satisfied with the unit of measure, simply release the power and trigger buttons.

question

How accurate is this in reading speeds of baseballs being thrown from pitchers?
Asked by: Jeff C.
Jeff, from my use of the gun it is accurate to within 3 mph either way, depending on how you position yourself. You must be either in front of or behind line of flight, meaning it does not shoot balls passing through. In movies they always show the scout sitting in the stands shooting a gun at a ball moving from mound to catcher...not the case with this. You must either be behind pitcher or catcher (backstop OK). I've used mine for years coaching Little League teams. It works very well for establishing benchmarks to which the kids can gauge their improvement, or scouting opposition. For the price, it is well worth it!

question

What is the warranty on this? What does the Squaretrade warranty cover?
Asked by: Dana B.
It has a one year limited warranty for defects, not abuse. It has to be sent back to Kansas with proof of purchase and an additional $10 for return postage as well. Bushnell will repair or replace it, as necessary.I have not had any problems with mine; pleased with results.
