Whirlwind DIR Overview

The Director direct box from Whirlwind converts an unbalanced line, instrument or speaker level signal to low impedance balanced microphone level, which is then suitable for inputing to a console or microphone preamp.

The unit is a passive device and therefore requires no external power supply. The unit features a ground lift switch and a 30 dB pad for selecting between line/instrument or speaker level signals.

1/4" parallel wired in/out jacks
30 dB pad switch for selecting between line/instrument or speaker level input signals
Ground Lift switch to help eliminate hum and buzz
Switchable high cut filter to eliminate amplifier noise
