TASCAM MD-CD1 Overview

The Tascam MD-CD1 combines CD playback and MiniDisc recording in a single, mid-priced professional rackmount unit, designed for fixed installation applications. Each deck is individually equipped with analog and digital outputs, allowing both sources to be used independently, and there an additional combined output for continuous playback over both decks.

The MD-CD1 offers a full set of professional features, including pitch control, MP3 CD playback with ID3 tag display, and a PS/2 keyboard connector for title editing or transport control, along with an RS-232 control port. An optional analog balanced I/O board allows the unit to be integrated with a wide variety of installation applications. CD playback is up to 16% faster or slower without pitch change, and discs can be duplicated from CD to MiniDisc at up to 4x speed.

The MD-CD1 offers up a versatile feature set and durable construction in a budget-conscious package.
