how does this speeding attach to an Omni Light? Do the screws scratch up the metal casing on the Omni Light? I don't see a place on my Omni Light where the screws would attach.
The three screws have to be tightened down to the point of putting pressure on the Omni Light sufficient enough to hold the light in the speed ring tightly. I suppose it could scratch the light, but I'm more concern with outcome than resale. Be sure to have tools to adjust the light on the light stand so that it will firmly stay in place. We primarily use the light for video lighting with a 12 volt battery belt. We mount it on a monopod and use it at weddings to shoot HD video. It works great. Biggest problem is that it will tilt on you if not tightened enough.
