Is it compatible with Avenger Roller Stand 12 with Folding Base?
Yes, the Avenger D600 Mini Boom (Chrome-plated) may be used with the Avenger Roller Stand 12 with Folding Base (Chrome-plated/Black, 3.9'); however, I would recommend to also purchase the Avenger E200 Stand Adapter, B&H # AVE200, to allow you to use the boom arm directly over the center riser instead of the offset 5/8" pin.

The widest diameter on the tubing 1 5/16”, then 1 3/16” and the smallest is 1”. The widest part of the boom is the mounting base at 5 3/16”.

Is there such a thing as this but maybe 6" shorter? It's just a little too much for my bag and the often tight areas I shoot in.
The shortest boom that we have to offer is the Westcott Mini Boom Arm & Weight Bag which comes in at 31 to 57" and supports 11lbs.

Can the location of the fulcrum be adjusted along the bottom segment of the boom? Or is it fixed in place?
No, the fulcrum point on the Avenger D600 Mini Boom (Chrome-plated) where it connects to the light stand cannot be adjusted. You may either adjust the length of the boom arm using the locking knobs on the arm, or you may adjust the amount of the counterbalance weight you attach to the arm to balance your light fixture atop the light stand.
