The DK-20C +3.0 Correction Eyepiece for Rectangular-Style Viewfinder from Nikon allows you to optimize your SLR/DSLR viewfinder's sharpness in conjunction with your individual eyesight. Nikon SLR/DSLR cameras (without built-in adjustable eyepiece correction) have a base diopter value of minus one. Minus one is considered the optimum starting point for the majority of SLR/DSLR users with normal vision. The combination of the camera's viewfinder components and a clear (standard) eyepiece form a virtual image of a subject on the camera's focusing screen that is the approximate equivalent of a viewing distance of one meter.

Nikon DK-20C Overview

Each Nikon eyepiece diopter incorporates a numerical value, represented by a minus value (nearsighted) or a plus value (farsighted) number, enabling you to select the appropriate diopter for your vision and your camera model.

The eyepiece's diopter value is, when combined with the viewfinders minus one value, the end-result value. No combination of the camera's base value of minus one and a given accessory diopter's value is required to arrive at the final desired value. In other words, if you require a diopter of plus 3, simply add a plus 3 diopter to your camera.

Makes any square Nikon eye piece camera even more correctable (and it’s nikkor glass) so you can shoot with out wearing glasses

I can see my viewfinder numbers again!

I've been using a +2.0 for several years (my eye doctor told me what I should go with for diopter strength, based on the prescription of my eye glasses). Over the years, my eyes have had trouble focusing close-up i.e. paper books, office work, etc., and I was finding it hard to focus the info in my camera's viewfinder. This fills the bill perfectly. I gave my +2 diopter to my photo-buddy, he was tickled to have it. Be prepared to take off your rubber eyecup though (if you have one), the diopter cannot fit otherwise. But you will get used to it not being there, these diopters have no sharp edges and I've never missed my eyecup.

Ordered a +3 diopter for my Nikon D 750. My eyes are fading fast. I can't find a tutorial anywhere on this earth on how to replace the one on my 750. I take the screws out but that is a futile effort. Does anyone have any information on such a procedure?

I don't remember having a rubber eyepiece on my 750 when I bought it. I have a new +3 diopter but have no idea on how to attach it. Do I need a DK-21 Rubber eyepiece to attach it to?
