This A2007CB Avenger Mini Base for C-Stand has a 1 1/8" receiver and is designed to accept Avenger column risers of various sizes. It is constructed of black steel. The smaller footprint of this base enables the c-stand to be placed in crowded areas on the set. It may be used on its own as a very low stand with the addition of a stud adapter such as the E200.

Will this base combined with a 20" riser column ...
Will this base combined with a 20" riser column be stable enough to support a 15" x 30" tabletop without a sand bag? I'm looking for a way to display my work at art fairs and want something that can be set up easily and quickly. People very rarely lean on my tables but it's always a possibility.
Depends on load. Avenger sets a 15# limit for mini base and 20 column. the shorter leg base is inherently less stable than normal c-stand base

It is possible it will fit. The base is a little smaller than, 22.6 x 11.5 x 2.7 .

The twist knob on mine seems to be locked so that ...
The twist knob on mine seems to be locked so that I cannot actually mount anything to the stand. I'm new to the Avenger brand. Try as I might, it just won't turn. Is there some trick to these?
The knob is should simply be turned to the left to retract the screw inside, allowing a column or pin to be inserted into the junior receiver.

has anyone else put a A2020 (30") riser on this? ...
has anyone else put a A2020 (30") riser on this? One reviewer said it's not as stable, not sure if I should only pair this with a A2014 (20").
You can use risers of any height. Stability will be relative to if you sand bag it and if you are properly centering the weight over the stand.
