Nikon FSA-1 & FSA-2 Fieldscope Digiscoping Adapter for MC Series Eyepieces

The Nikon #6952 FSA-1 & 2 combination allows for digiscoping with many of the Nikon Coolpix digital cameras when used with a Fieldscope and the fixed magnification MC Series eyepieces.  You will need to purchase some additional parts to begin digiscoping.  This system is not compatible with any zoom Fieldscope eyepiece or with non-zoom Fieldscope eyepieces which do not have a helicoid-type sliding eyecup.

If you're digiscoping with the MC Series Eyepieces, you will need three parts:
- This #6952 FSA-1 & FSA-2 Non-SLR Digital Camera Photo Adapter
- The #6953 FSA-3 Non-SLR Digital Camera Photo Attachment
- And the proper F-series attachment for your particular Coolpix camera.  These include the #6920 F-CP5000(for the Coolpix 5000), the #6919 F-CP880(for the Coolpix 880), the #6918 F-CP885(for the Coolpix 885 & 4300) and the #6917 F/S-CP9XX(for the Coolpix 4500 and 900 series).

The DS Series of eyepieces, however, have exceptionally low risk of vignetting with digiscoping and a flat field.  They are highly recommended for the best results.  If you're digiscoping with the DS Series eyepieces, you will not need to purchase this combination adapter.

- If you're digiscoping with the DS Series eyepieces and a Coolpix 880, 885, 900 Series, 4300, 4500 or 5000, do not purchase this item.  Instead, purchase the #6953 FSA-3 Non-SLR Digital Camera Photo Attachment and the proper aforementioned F-series photo attachment.

- If you're digiscoping with the DS Series eyepieces and a Coolpix 4200, 5200, 5900 or 7900 camera, do not purchase this item.  Only purchase the #6955 FSB-1 Non-SLR Digital Photo Adapter, which clamps directly upon the DS series eyepiece(with eyecup removed).

- If you're digiscoping with the DS Series eyepieces and a Coolpix 4600 or 5600 camera, do not purchase this item.  Only purchase the #6956 FSB-2 Non-SLR Digital Photo Adapter, which clamps directly upon the DS series eyepiece(with eyecup removed).

Be sure to take precautions against sharpness-destroying vibrations:  use a sturdy tripod with a video-type pan/tilt head as well as your camera's remote control or wired cable release.
