The Slik Monopod 350 is a light-weight general use monopod that is handy when a full tripod cannot be used. Though it cannot stand by itself, it helps support the camera's weight and eliminates undesirable vertical movement (shake) that occurs with hand-held use. Your pictures will be sharper and more clear.

Soft padded grip for a rock steady hold
Grooved tubular leg for added rigidity
Speed release leg locks make extending and retracting the monopod fast and easy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Entry Level Monopod I use this monopod for low light, wildlife, and sports photography with my Nikon D40x. I also use it to gain a different perspective. You can hold it up above your head and trigger the shutter with a wireless remote to take photos above a crowd. It is great for when I don't want or need a tripod but still need to control a long lens or use a longer shutter speed. I like the snap lock style leg adjustment, the light weight, and the foam grip at the top. The only problem with a bare monopod is that you a limited to landscape profile pictures. I also bought a Slik SBH-120 ballhead for this monopod to give me more freedom while retaining stability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple Solid Product - Reasonably Priced I used this product first at a free roaming wildlife park in the mountains with my Nikon D5000 and a 70-300mm lens. When zoomed out camera shake can be a real problem and when photographing wildlife, you often don't get a second chance. This product was very helpful in maintaining steadiness with a relatively heavy lens and long focal length without being cumbersome or time consuming in its use or setup. In many situations I was able to quickly adjust the height of the top section without having to take my eye out of the view-finder. This monopod definitely helped me get some great tack-sharp photos without breaking the bank. The only thing that would make this better would be an additional joint for a shorter folded length. Then it would fit in a backpack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from absolutely excellent product THE GOOD: I could use it blindfolded right out of the box! It's light enough to carry, rigid enough for good support, and even pretty to look at. THE BAD: It could be an inch shorter in folded mode so that it would fit into my attache case. THE UGLY: Ugly it is not. It's a beauty, simple and trim. You could call it The Sleek from Slik! Now if you could just make me an adapter to hold my Droid X phone ... And no, I do not work for Slik. I just love a product that does what it's supposed to do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the money Great monopod for the money. I use this primarily for off-camera lighting and it does the job. Easy to work with, extensions stay in place. Also good for traveling as it's not too long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Sharper Pictures I shoot a lot of flowers and this allows a smaller f/stop and more depth of field. I use it with my Canon 5D Mark 3 and flash, and it handles the weight perfectly. Sometimes if I find a curb or a rock I can wedge it against one of these and it's almost as steady as a tripod. I can instantly change the height....which I really like. It's light weight and folds up fairly small. I really bought it as an experiment. I can't think of anything I dislike about it.....it actually turned out better than I thought. My photos are SHARPER!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job...very well! I'm not a sports shooter full time. Most times I shoot my grandsons soccor ball games and soon his football games. Having on one long zoom, 200-500mm) I needed a lightweight support for this one particular lens. This mono fit the bill perfectly. It's light and gives the lens a stable platform. For the professional sports photographer it may be too light but for me it's perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm a satisfied customer I'm an amateur photographer who does landscapes, railroad fan pics and family snapshots. The Slik Monopod 350 is sturdy enough to support my Nikon D90, light and compact enough to remain attached to the D90 while the camera is suspended by the strap around my neck and very reasonable in price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small but strong For the price it would be hard to beat this monopod. I got this monopod for my son in college. At first I was not sure if it would work for his D200 with 80-200 2.8 lens. He has used it a the Baseball game and he loves it along with his classmates. Tripod is strong for the size.
