The Rycote Overcover pads are a disposable mounting and windshield solution for lavalier microphone use in gusty, outdoor environments. There are 3 sheets of 10 pads (30 pads total) supplied in each package. The pads are double coated with a peel-off adhesive and a soft-woven material. The adhesive is peeled onto clothing, providing a tacky mounting surface for lavalier microphones. The supplied fur disc is capable of suppressing noise caused by high wind gusts. The disc is placed over the microphone and adhesive surface, sandwiching the microphone and eliminating wind, structure and rustling noise. This pack contains 30 Stickies and 6 re-usable fur discs - 2 white, 2 grey and 2 black.

Contains 30 Stickies and 6 re-usable fur discs, including 2 of each color: white, grey and black

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! We use these products with our lav mics and they adhere wonderfully to clothing and protect the mics from clothing rub and wind noise. They are super small and come in three colors -- white, grey and black -- which really help us hide the mics on our interview subjects. The adhesive is quite strong and can make getting the covers off a little difficult. They can also leave a little residue that can be taken off with gentle rubbing. I really love these little guys instead of lav clips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Go To Wind Suppressor For Lavaliere Mics This is my go to wind suppressor used with DPA 4061 lavaliere mics for film and video shoots. Easy to use and the three color choices--black, gray and white--work with nearly all types and colors of clothing. I would say these work to suppress wind in 95% of my outdoor shoots. With really high gusty winds you may need to take a more aggressive approach with some other alternatives. Rycote products are top notch and my audio kit would never be caught without being stocked with Overcovers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and easy to use. I used these two days ago at a shoot where I needed to hide the mics on three talent. They worked PERFECTLY on two of the three (the last one I had to improvise using moleskin). I'm going to buy some more just so I have them on hand. Of course you can use the wind cover more than once :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Invaluable for Production Sound I use these over the Sanken COS-11 lavs and they make a tremendous difference. Not only do they help cut out wind on outdoor scenes, they also provide some protection from clothing rustle. I use them on every set I'm on, and for what you get, you can't beat the price. Great value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can use instead of Undercover This was recommended to me to use instead of the undercovers because the extra hair on the overcovers do a better job protecting from fabric rustling noise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have It never hurts to have a set of these on hand. Easy to apply and use. Really provides a few choices and help reduce unwanted sound.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Work great They work well for mild windy situations. They also help minimize clothing noise.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well enough These adhesive pads stick on well unless transferred to multiple surfaces more than twice. For example, if placed on the actor's face, you could move it once to another part of their face, but after that it will loose it's stickiness. The wind cover does reduce the wind noise significantly, but it does not stick well over the microphone to the adhesive pad. The furry cover also looks really strange on the actor's face because it is really furry.
