Rycote Overcovers are small circular fur microphone covers intended to mount over lavalier microphones while worn on clothing or bare skin. The Overcovers greatly reduce wind and contact noise during operation, and the included Rycote stickies are used to affix the microphone and Overcover to material, skin, and more. This package contains a set of 6 Overcover fur covers, and 30 Stickies (disposable adhesive pads).

Overcovers (Gray) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Essential for outdoor filming These little guys have come to the rescue on more than one occasion, and they do what they're supposed to. Even when I don't need the fluffies, I often use the double sided tabs to hold my Sanken COS 11's against skin and clothing. They've come in handy when folks show up to a shoot in something other than a button up. My only complaint is that the sticky tabs don't work well in low temperatures and we've been forced to use additional tape or clips to hold them in place when it's cold out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product for the live sound tech The overcovers are great to stop clothing rubbing UNDER the clothes. A solid product. Better than the undercovers for my projects

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overcovers work great! Was on a shoot near a vehicle test track. The wind was whipping up the slant of the track shooting right into the body of the interview subject causing wind noise on a COS11d, which was hidden under the clothing. Threw one of these bad boys on there and presto - no more wind noise. I started getting a little scratching sound from the fur touching the lady's shirt, so I just taped the fur down, and all was fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I was disappointed with what I received. My impression from the picture was that the windscreens were going to be the foam slipover type on the mic. It turned out to be a covering flat over the mic. This might still be useful to apply the mic to the skin or clothing without a clip with the adhesive pieces instead of gaffers tape. I haven't yet tried it for that purpose. I hope that the adhesive is strong enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YOU NEED THESE! I love these! I've worked on a lot of films as a sound mixer and have been using these since day 1! They work great and make the job fast and easy. They stick great but not when it's really hot... I tend to have to go through a little bit more but that is expected. If you are working on a major film or by yourself you should have these in your pocket! I have even used them to keep peoples shirts down!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good Only used it on one shoot so far. I needed to place a hidden lav on a speaker for about 3 hours. I stuck the tape on the inside of his shirt, and placed the fuzzy over it. I was very skeptical that it would work. 3 hours later, the tape was holding strong and the lav was still in place. Reviewing the audio, I had very little noise from rubbing. I'm pretty happy with this stuff.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Black overcovers I used this product to try and decrease the wind noise and improve the voice recording on my lavalier microphone mounted in my motorcycle helmet. A definite improvement from the small foam cover the microphone came with. There is still significant wind noise at high speed but much better voice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good for hidden lavs in flmmaking. For shooting mounting hidden lav mics in fiction movies, not music recording. These things are so much easier than the home grown approach of using Moleskin. Much faster, more effective, reliable. Well worth keeping a supply on hand.
