    Rolls HE18 BUZZ OFF reviews

    HE18 - Buzz Off is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Perfectly I needed a solution for removing ground loop noise in my studio. I needed to connect my Yamaha 01v mixer to my PC using the onboard line jack (-10db). When I plugged the mixer into the computer using the RCA outs from the board it caused a terrible ground loop and noise from the mains was sitting around -35db. When I added the Rolls HE18, the noise floor now sits at about -67db. A 32db reduction in noise and very tolerable for both demo recordings and online audio streaming. It also does unbalanced to balanced audio conversion, has 1/8, 1/4 and RCA jacks (1/8 is input only). Heavy duty build and feel. The passive electronic design saves the headache of having to accommodate yet another wall adapter. If you have a ground loop in your project studio. Buy this box. It works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! At first I was a little skeptical about this product. I run a live internet radio show and was so annoyed with this little hum that was constantly heard in between cuts or during very slow/quiet audio. I tried all solutions to prohibit ground loop, etc. Still no success. I purchased this product and let me,say, This product does exactly what it says it will do. All hum as since been reviewed. I even purchased a second which quiets the second audio output from my computer to my mixer. You can't beat the price and quality. No additional power supply needed. Just literally plug and play! Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple solution to a big problem I'm in the process of transferring a large CD collection to my hard drive (lossless,of course), and I've also begun downloading high definition audio files from Hyperion Records and HDtracks. For playback I'm going from a Focusrite forte into a Denon receiver, located at opposite ends of a large room. I'm using high quality RCA cable, 35-ft long. When I gave it a test drive I got severe low frequency hum which made the system all but unlistenable. Installed the Buzz Off a few days ago, and voila, instant fix. Very pleased with this product. Well built, lots of options, good price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfect I used these to remove an annoying ground loop hum in a McIntosh Home Theatre system. After 3 years of shipping, repairs and purchasing multiple types of cables, and after sending the unit in for repair twice, the manufacturer was unable to repair the unit. I stumbled onto the Buzz Off by accident. I installed them and there was dead silence...perfect. Wish i had found these earlier...would have saved me $1200.00 in shipping and repair costs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Goes between almost any device I used it for running an audio signal from my cable box to an audio DA to another sound system in my house for listening to TV with better audio than from the TV set the video cable is plugged into. But with a different sound system running off of a different AC circuit than the main one , which its now connected to with audio cable, you get HUM! So the BUZZ OFF came to the rescue. But as I do sound for a local band that does coffeehouses it can also double for taking out hum in a club environment in a convenient manner thanks to all of the different audio interfaces it has! So now my porch TV audio sounds great and I can also take it on the road with the band! Haven't used it for too long so don't know about how long it will last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works as advertised I used this unit to remove ground loop hum in a tri-amped speaker system. Works as advertised, completely removed the hum with no audible impact on sound quality. Unit's construction quality appears to be very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fixed my maddening problems! Worked great to isolate my grounds between my PC and studio monitors (LSR305s). Completely killed a subtle buzz that was not 60hz noise from the wall, it was junk being sprayed out of my pc that is inherent to pcs. I found another product that does this (Hum X) but this is lower price and works as well. Nice and compact and seems quite durable. Lots of options for plug types, which means I could maybe use another one for some of my instruments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works, no more hum! It does exactly what I need. I have a high end stereo receiver and speakers connected to my iMac computer analog audio output (headphone) jack. The receiver also is connected to several other analog audio sources. I have had persistent issues with hum in the audio from the computer. I tried all sorts of things, floating grounds, reversing plugs etc and nothing worked. putting the HE-18 in line with the computer completely eliminated the hum with no adverse side effects to the audio quality. I really appreciate the flexibility of all the various input and output connections. I now have a convenient extra port where I can plug in headphones for private listening when needed. (Unlike the idiots at Apple who put the headphone jack on the back of the iMac. What were they thinking?) The engineer who designed the HE18 deserves a lot of credit. He really did his homework.
