RODE RM5 Overview

Rode's RM5 Stand Mount for Smaller Rode Microphone fits both NT55 and NT5 mics and lets you attach your small studio condenser to a standard microphone stand or boom pole.

The RM5 includes a threaded insert that also adapts it for use with either standard 5/8" or 3/8" (1.6 or 0.95 cm) thread connectors.

My old clips for my NT5’s gave up the ghost (cracked from age) so I ordered the RM5’s from B&H where they were half the price from other stores. These clips are an improvement as you can clamp the after setting the angle you want. I’m looking forward to using this new and improved clips.

Yes, the RODE RM5 Stand Mount for the NT5 Microphone is the standard mount that ships with the RODE NTG-2 Shotgun Microphone.

The RODE RM5 Stand Mount is designed for use with the RODE NT5 Studio Small Diaphragm Condenser Microphone, which is 0.79" (20mm) in diameter. The Deity S Mic 2S Short Shotgun Microphone is 0.75" (19mm) in diameter, so although this mount will fit, it may be slightly loose. To create a tighter fit, you can use the Sanken ROCS Rubber O-Rings - 10-Pack (B&H # SAROCS).

The KM184 (.87") is just slightly larger in diameter than the NT5 (.79"), so yes it will fit, but it may be a bit snug.

Yes. The RODE RM5 Stand Mount is compatible for use with the RODE NTG3 Shotgun Microphone and is included in the package with the mic when purchased new.

Yes, all of our mic clips are supplied with a 3/8 to 5/8 thread adaptor so they can be used on most stands or boompoles.
