Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bang for Buck I use this stand to mount my Rode NTG-2 shotgun mike. Great for mounting any microphone. A little unstable but if you position it right it works fine. I like that it exstends up to 6 ft the use the boom to go up to 10 ft so i can get the shotgun mike over peoples heads without the microphone in the shot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for not so obvious application! I used it for hooking up the Audyssey mic for calibrating the AV receiver, it is perfect for the application. I got it at a good price along with the adapter. There should have been an assembly instructions booklet provided. Only complaint is that the shipping was super slow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent, Affordable Stand I use this for a simple outdoor PA set up. So far it has performed very well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for If you need to move this from place to place, invest in a bungee cord or something to keep the legs from opening up in transit, they do not lock into place when closed so they just flop around. Somewhat sturdy construction for the price, time will tell if it lasts, but my gut says I'll get only a few uses out of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great versatile stand! I recently shot a jazz performance from the left side of the stage with my microphone on-camera. From the left side, the lighting was better, but the mike picked up too much audience noise as they were eating and conversing. I bought the Mic Stand to be able to separate the microphone from the camera. I also picked up the On-Stage 5/8" 27-Thread to 1/4" adapter and the Vello Cold Shoe Mount. Now, I have a stand that will accommodate either a microphone or a slave flash. Will be using both for 2 upcoming shoots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for - cheap junk. I sent them back. The tripods are too small and stability is poor. The metal boom handle rattles, the metal boom handle feels cheap and lacks tactile response, the boom joint is cheap and feels like it will not last. Adjustment knob was cheap. I should have known better than to purchase a mic stand sight unseen. I wish the salesman was more honest when he recommended them as high quality at low cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough and sturdy I love this mic stand. It's made of durable metal and is heavy enough not to move with normal use. I use it for my gaming videos I do on my YouTube channel, I record vocals for songs that I produce, and when I do indoor videos I use this mic stand to hold my mic as a secondary mic to my camera. I would recommend this to any who needs a stand that you can use to sit or stand.
