Very frustrating when attempting to precisely position mic !

Build quality is nice, but the design is very flawed. Tightening the knob will not secure a mic clip in whatever position you put it in. You have to repeatedly twist and turn the knob until it will finally tighten down to your desired angle.

I don't see how the microphones mount on here?
The MY700 features six threaded male mounting points ( 5/8 ) . The mic clips are available separately and generally are included with the mics. We offer many styles and sizes as well. Please see the following link: http://bhpho.to/1BD1jnD

What Justin said is accurate. The center opening is designed to screw directly into a microphone stand. If the podium in question has a standard threaded mic stand attached, then your answer is yes.
