Paterson PTP327G reviews

16x20" Tray (Gray) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Trays for developing papers A common problem with majority of trays on the market is that the nominal size is often insufficient. Photographic paper swelss when soaked in solutions, the fact often overlooked by the tray designers. To be ideal this Patterson tray should be at least 1 cm larger in the x and y dimension. We cannot expect that they will redesign their machinery to make larger trays as this would entali a major technological expenditure. However, I notice improvement in the plastic used. My old Patterson trays cracked in the corners during several years usage since the plastic was brittle. This new material appears to be tougher. Also the price is satisfactory.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big enough tray for print developments Better get a tray too big than too small! 1 Gallon of fluid fills the bottom of this 16x20 tray sufficiently enough to be used in the development process. Issue is to fill the solution back out of the tray into the bottle. The plastic is not rigid enough to avoid bending it when lifting it together with the fluid inside - it can easily spill. But with some experience it works well without spilling fluid. I rinse mine with water after usage for the development stages. They can also be used simply as collection tray to store bottles filled with chemicals.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great procduct- good price I'm doing contact prints up to 13X19. Before I bought this I looked at other more general purpose containers that I could have re-purposed. For the price difference I decided to buy a tray made to do what I wanted to do, I'm glad I did. My only complaint is when it has a liter of liquid in it, it flexes which makes it tricky to handle when you pick it up to empty it. I solved this by stiffening it with strips of wood under the outside edges.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Trays I have several different makes of trays but these are my favorite. The right amount of sturdiness and the ribbed bottom make it very easy to get a hold of whatever you are processing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly What I was Looking for. I searched the internet for a particular type of photo developing trays. I found quite a few outlets for that particular type and make of trays. However they ranged from old used trays to new ones, but the prices were ridiculous. Not only did B&H Photo have the particular brand and size I was looking for, but their's were brand new and more than half the price of the others I found on line. I would recommend B&H PHOTO to anyone looking for photo products. My trays came in a very timely manner. Thanks, B&H Photo GL

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed This came as one of a set of three trays in different colors. I use them to develop my photopolymer intaglio plates for printmaking. They're big enough for even my largest plates, with just the right amount of depth

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy and easy to clean I did a lot of research and other than buying stainless steel trays you can't beat the quality of these trays. Very sturdy and the channels make it easy to grab your prints with tongs. Cleanup is also easy since they are just sturdy enough to allow you to pour chemicals back into containers. The only improvement would be the built in grooves to hold thermometers and tongs in place. Not useful at all because they are not deep enough. Excellent price.
