    Manfrotto 325N reviews

325N Video Head Bowl Adapter Kit is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works as Indicated, But No Leveling I purchased this item prior to any reviewer mentioning that it does not do any leveling. I had been mis-led by a user review on a different site that indicated that you could level you head with it, just not the same range of motion as when on a proper tripod. I was dissapointed to find out that there is zero range of movement - my Manfrotto 509HD Head simply sits snugly and stares straight ahead - absolutely no ability to adjust its horizon at all. Also beware of the Manfrotto 438 Leveler - it is made to attach to a tripod and if you try to use it on a slider for example you will need to raise it up slightly because its release lever will scrape the surface of your slider carraige.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What could have been... I bought this to attach my 75mm ball head to an IGUS slider and also thought it would be great to build a small HI-Hat. It does in fact accept a 75mm ball head, though it would have been nice to have a method for attaching the 100mm-75mm ring adapter it comes with more permanently. As soon as you remove the head, the ring falls off and rolls away. Also I fully expected, like any other ball accessory, that you could do some leveling. Nope. The head sits straight on top. You must level the legs to create a level platform before you attach your head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great head adapter! I needed a way to use my 504 and 509 Manfrotto heads on a Rhino slider and this thing does the job. Before I was using a 503 head and it couldn't handle heavier cameras, but the Rhino slider can, so this was the perfect solution! It's nice and solid and only add 3 or so inches to the height above the slider. My slider screw fit the mount and the 504 head bolt screwed right onto the adapter. I love it that it can take both 75mm and 100mm ball. One reviewer complained that you couldn't level the ball on the adapter, which is true, however you should always have your slider level anyway, so not an issue using it this way. Thanks Manfrotto for thinking of ways for us to get the most out our gear!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So many uses!! Love this thing!! If you have a bowl type fluid head, this thing works wonders for mounting to a flat base slider, car hostess tray setup, motorcycle mount, etc. It's like a necessity to have in your tool kit, because you never know when you want to use the fluid head with a dolly that has a flat base.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect System for a jib arm. I bought a cheaper jib arm that just had the screw for the camera on the end. I bought this adapter to attach my Mafratto head to it and it worked perfectly. I can seamlessly transfer my tripod head for the sticks to the jib in twenty seconds. Highly recommend for that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great product, but mine had a minor/major flaw. Product was really difficult to set-up and I thought I was going crazy. It didn't come with any instructions nor are there any readily available online. I reached out to the Manfrotto and never heard back from them. In setting it up, there is a washer that helps tighten everything so it doesn't wobble, and that particular washer was manufactured about 1.5mm too thin, so when I would mount my head onto this, it would wobble and render the entire setup useless. So using my mechanical intuition (thanks to growing up building Legos without instructions) I was able to MacGyver a solution where I folded up a thick stock business card until it compensated for the gap in the washer. But if it weren't for the washer being manufactured slightly under specs, then it would be fantastic. A really solid feeling product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, and mine came with the 319 ring The 325N is very solid and includes several thread size inserts, as well as the 319 75mm adapter ring.* I have the Libec H38 head, and needed a cheaper way to swap the cam (XL-2) between the tripod and an elevated rail dolly, without having to buy a second head. The 325N was exactly what I was after. *After ordering it, I noticed one of the reviews saying that the 100-75mm adapter ring (Manfrotto part #319) was not included. I called B&H who confirmed that, so I began the search for one. EVERYONE was out, and all dealers were backordered. Boooo! Lucky me, I found ONE on auction, in xlnt condition. I arrived today, along with the 325N, which... ding.... had one in the box. Not sure if it was an anomaly, but I'm happy mine came with it. The 325N is a great piece of engineering and works perfectly.
