The Patterson Standard Auto Print Washer is designed to remove chemicals from fiber-based papers quickly and efficiently with water pressure.
The prints are agitated through the built-in pump, which is controlled by water pressure delivering water on both sides of the print. The print basket, which is removable, holds up to twelve 12 x 10" prints in individual slots. Outlet and inlet hoses are included to attach to the sink.
I just used it again today and it was very frustrating. I thought the the cant toward the ball bearing was the key. But today, I found that the water pressure was the key. Not too much, not too little. Too much and the tube will pop off of the spigot. I spent 20 minutes playing with the cant and could not keep it rocking. But then I did a very fine adjust on the water pressure and I got 45 minutes of steady rocking. With no leakage around the flimsy slip on that hooks to the faucet. It does the job well, if you can keep it rocking.
The Paterson print washer is a real time-saver. Just a gentle flow of water is all that is needed to activate the auto-agitation which operates without fail.
