I know the description says this enlarger can do up to 8x10 enlargements but was wondering if you could go as big as 8 1/2 x 12 1/2 enlargements?
It is designed for 8x10". You might be able to get a little more your results may vary.

The only kind of film I currently shoot is 35mm, so this enlarger is all I really need. However, I wanted to buy a separate, much nicer lens to go with it, for sharper prints. What size mount does this enlarger use, and what kinds of lenses will it take?
There are other possible lens boards but the one this kit comes with is 39mm. So other enlarging lenses that are 39mm mount will work fine.There are longer lenses, shorter lenses and better lenses in general made. A longer lens is usually for larger format printing.Below are some better lenses.
