Designed as a complete, high-grade microphone setup for location recording in demanding film work, broadcasting, electronic news gathering (ENG), and field production applications, this B&H Kit eliminates the guesswork in configuring a shotgun microphone system that delivers pristine quality and low noise for a variety of challenging recording environments.
It features the Sennheiser MKH 416-P48U3 moisture-resistant shotgun microphone, the Rycote Windshield Kit 4 all-inclusive modular windshield, suspension, pistol grip, and windjammer system, a cabled 9' graphite boompole, and a long XLR cable to provide you with everything necessary for capturing mix-ready audio for video, film, and sound design applications.
Achieve superb audio capture in demanding conditions for your next professional film, TV, or location recording with the Sennheiser MKH 416-P48U3 moisture-resistant shotgun microphone. Mix-ready sound quality is provided by its sharp directivity, low noise, and strong output. Plus, there are no controls to worry about; the MKH 416-P48U3 delivers the reliability you need for high-pressure gigs.
The microphone exhibits a hypercardioid polar pattern at low to midrange frequencies and transitions to a lobar pattern in high frequencies, allowing it to attenuate 125 Hz to 2 kHz by approximately 10 dB at the 90° off-axis points. Your dialogue, foley, and sound effects can be recorded with full dynamics and clarity, thanks to the MKH 416-P48U3's wide frequency response, enhanced consonant articulation, and high SPL handling.
The Rycote Windshield Kit #4 is a complete modular microphone windshield system including the Rycote modular suspension mount, windjammer, windshield and necessary extensions. It can be used with the Rode NTG4+ shotgun microphone to provides optimum protection against wind. In addition, the windshield kit is a useful solution for those who do not already own a suspension mount or windjammer.
Each custom configured system will include the correct combination of suspension mount, windjammer, windshield and extensions (whenever necessary) to accommodate the size requirements for use with your specific microphone.

The KP9CCR 9' KlassicPro Graphite 6-Section Boompole with Internal XLR Coiled Cable, Side Exit from K-Tek features a removable headpiece for cable reconfiguration without soldering. The top attachment is a 3/8" male thread that includes a coiled cable with a KlassicPro right angle connector and a bottom male 3-pin XLR with a side exit. This boompole can be used as a solution for Film, Broadcast TV, Electronic News Gathering (ENG), Electronic Field Productions, (EFP), and other field recording applications.
The KP9CCR boompole measures 31.5" to 9.3' in length. The cable can be removed or installed without soldering and transformed to various configurations including uncabled, coil cabled, straight cabled, or with a transmitter at the top or the bottom (available separately). Gone are the soldered and sealed poles of the past. After removing a standard sized set screw, the headpiece simply threads on and off the tube smoothly. The modular system allows for quick transformations and eliminates the need for a completely new system just for a cabling change.
The cable kits are built with a high-quality coiled cable that features a low-profile, right-angle connector and incorporates thick gauge wiring and aluminum shielding. This makes it stronger and protected from radio frequency (RF) interference. Also, the connector is small, light, serviceable, and made with a Neutrik connector at its base.
The KP9CCR uses a modified collett with a thicker and smoother surface, allowing for more subtle, gradual extension of each section. Replacing the dimples with oval exterior divets and improving the finish means the pole has a better grip and smoother feel when opening and closing each collar. The boompole is hand-burnished to diffuse handling noise.
The black Kopul Premium Performance 3000 Series XLR Male to XLR Female Microphone Cable (20') is designed to be an extremely quiet and flexible cable that is ideal for the most demanding live sound and performance applications. The cable is engineered to be durable and provide protection against EMI, RFI, and static noise. While the cable's color-coding affords the ability to quickly differentiate between multiple connections on stage, it provides a pleasant aesthetic quality at the same time.
Premium Performance 3000 Series cables are made from 24-AWG OFC copper wire that's wrapped with PE insulation and a conductive PVC inner shield. A cotton-yarn inner layer helps reduce electrostatic and microphonic noise. The 95% dual-spiral shielding makes the cable resistant to EMI and RFI noise. The Neutrik XX silver connectors provide a high level of connectivity, and all the solder connections are shrink-wrapped for protection.
