Impact UBBW30 Overview

This is an Impact 30" white satin umbrella with removable black backing. Umbrellas soften, broaden, and diminish the light output of any flash light source. Umbrellas with a white interior will soften and weaken light more than an umbrella with a silver lining. A white umbrella without a black backing may also be used as a makeshift softbox, although the use of the light will not be as efficient as with a softbox.

Choosing umbrella size is determined by the size of the subject, and the strength of the light supply being used. Choosing an umbrella surface is as subjective as choosing a paint and brush.

This size is perfect for a 1 person head shot, or a 2x3 ft product setup.

Backing may be removed half way, providing a unique combination of light bounced from different surfaces.

good quality small umbrellas that you can bounce off of or shoot through. Great in tight spaces. Any smaller and they'd be too small. I have enough large modifiers already. Inexpensive to boot! Thank you Impact.

I like that I can use it to diffuse and reflect light from my flash just by removing the black cover. I know some people complain about it be poorly made or flimsy, but with proper care it should last a while.

Small but cheap.  Theyre probably as useful as shoot throughs as bounce.  I had to buy these for a project (cough PPA, cough), otherwise I usually would of gone for larger ones.

It's a nice little umbrella. Just keep in mind, it's quite small. I ended up having to buy a 45 one instead.
