Ive bought this piece looking for a replacement mount for my Rode K2, earlier reviews told me it worked for another (similar shape) Rode mic. It does the job, it doesnt look expensive, sure it is not. It took me a while to make the perfect fit for the K2 shape, but once held wont move a bit. Not so sure how it would stand for other mic sizes, as told for me took me a while and set my mic was quiet a task but above all provides good isolation and is certainly a good value.
The shock mount on my older Rode NT2 broke and couldn't be repaired. B&H has SO many shockmounts to choose from, it was hard to tell which one would fit my mic the best. I ended up choosing this one because it said that it was intended for mics with tapered bodies. It fits perfectly, and seems to be built pretty well for the price.
