How does the mic sit or fit in the MXL MXL-56 Shockmout For the MXL-2003?
If you lok closely at the picture of this shockmount, you will see two black, metal handles. When you squeeze these together, it will open the collar, which holds the mic inside.The mechnism is not unlike a binder clip.
