question

Are there adapters for digiscoping w/ a Nikon DSLR (D750, perhaps)?
Asked by: Robert
Yes you will need a T Mount for your camera for digiscoping. This is the B&H part number for the T ring for your camera, B&H#KOTMN. When you get the T ring home before you can start digiscoping. You will need to take the lens off your camera and screw the T ring in it's place. The only other thing you will need is an adapter for the telescope you are using. The adapter will depend on the telescope you have. After you get the correct adapter attach it to the telescope and screw the camera onto the adapter. Then start shooting.

Does the Nikon Fieldscope ED50 13-30x50 Spotting Scope (for angled viewing) have a Arca-Swiss style quick-release mounting foot (that fits a Really Right Stuff tripod clamp)?
Asked by: Bryan
The foot on the Nikon scopes is not Arca compatible. So far very few brands make scopes with an Arca compatible foot. You can attach an Arca compatible plate to the foot to use it on your Really Right Stuff tripod.

What is the "padded case" that's listed as being included, please? Is this a box that's padded inside... or a soft pouch for carrying in the field?
Asked by: Dave
The Nikon Fieldscope ED50 comes with a soft padded stay on case. You can use the case to carry the scope and you can leave the case on while using the scope.

question

Which eyepiece and tripod do you recommend for this scope?
Asked by: dianne s.
I also have the 13-30X zoom EP which is shipped with the package. I believe there is a fixed power EP for this scope. Any tripod with 1/4-20 mounting bolt will work. I recommend a light weight tripod with quick release mounting shoe. Make sure you order one that's tall enough for standing observation in the field. A tripod with 4 section legs can be folded into a more compact package than one with 3 section legs.
