Is this tank translucent enough to see the liquid level? I would like to use it for distilled water, and would like to be able to monitor the liquid level without having to remove the lid to check.

what is the difference between this and the kit? B&H # DOSTFL5
The more expensive tanks are slightly heavier plastic and may contain a floating lid that inhibits oxidation by decreasing the surface area of chemicals in contact with air inside the tank. If your storing developer you want a floating lid.
