The 2x optics are very helpful: reasonably undistorted view. Not so much with the flip-down 3x viewer; I do not and will not use it. But I do not like the plastic headband liner: it causes profuse sweating of the forehead and is thus uncomfortable. I will likely wear a bandana on my head to put cloth between the band and my forehead when using this for long sessions. Not a deal-breaker, just unfortunate.
When using it with the double magnifier lenses, it' best to use it without your glasses, especialy when wearing bifocals. They're also very lightweight, and It all becomes clearer.
