I have a Pixma Pro 200, and as stated in many other reviews, it works it's real magic with Canon Pro Platinum paper. That's my favorite, but this paper works well for everyday use.

I had to prepare about 20 prints for a gallery showing at Sange de Cristo Arts Center and the prints on the paper were absolutely fine for the project.

I use this paper for all my photo prints. The finish is beautiful. I have a Canon pro 100 printer and this paper works great with it.

It's kinda expensive and I suppose that I could cut down my own 5x7s from a larger sheet, but I like the convenience. As for the paper itself, it has is very competent in color and b&w reproduction. If the highlights and shadows are controlled on the digital file, the paper will give you exactly what's there, no more no less. I let the paper dry for 24 hours, as recommended by Canon. It's dry to the touch right away, but for best results they suggest letting it set. Can't tell you anything about its archival quality, resistance to fading, etc. because I'm careful with my prints. I also can't tell you what happens if the print get wet. You're on your own.

question

Can I use this with my Selphy CP910?
Asked by: Kim P.
No you can not. The Selphy is a dye sublimation printer and is only compatible with dye sublimation paper. The ink ribbon and paper are only sold together. You are not able to purchase each separately.

question

We just bought a Canon iX6520 printer. It will auto-duplex sheets of paper. It appears to handle paper of this size (SG-201).Can we print on both sides of this paper?Or is the semi-gloss finish on one side only?If not this paper, can you recommend another paper that is at least tabloid-extra size (12x18) that will provide photo or near-photo quality, and that can be duplexed? We want to create books from these printed pages, so need printing on both sides.Thank you,Josh Litwin

The SG-201 Photo Paper Plus Semi-Gloss 13 x 19 is a single-sided paper, so you can only print on one side. We do carry this double-sided semi-gloss paper from Inkpress Media Duo Semi Gloss (2-Sided, 180gsm) - 13x19 (Super-B) - 50 Sheets (INSG1319509M).

I've had issues with this paper curling as soon as it's removed from the box. This is causing the print heads to strike the paper. The directions that came with the paper recommend: if the paper curls, straighten it. Not a lot of help. How do your straighten this paper?
Asked by: David
It depends how the paper is stored and for how long. It is recommended that you store your paper flat. You can purchase a paper decurler, but we don't sell them. Engineers have taught me a trick, if the paper is not too long, and your microwave large enough the paper can be slightly wound up, and put in the microwave on low ONLY for 10-15 seconds and this may relax and refresh the chemical compounds in the paper.

Is this paper on an acid free base or plastic? What if any are it's archival properties?
Asked by: Joel
Semi-gloss paper is technically archival when printed using pigmented inks and stored in a temperature stable environment out of direct sunlight, but if you are looking to maximize your archiveability you would choose a fine art paper (if your printer can handle the extra thickness), that would be called natural. Natural fine art paper usually means NO OBAs (Optical Brightening Agents) have been added, so that the image will darken very slowly over a very long time. OBA papers turn bluish and darken after 15 years all at once; pigment ink doesn't save them.
