Hi. I'd like to ask whether this lens is compatible with Sony PMW-300 and whether it improves image quality (especially sharpness) significally compared to original lens which I am using. Best regards Blaz.
The PMW-300 is a 1/2 sensor camcorder with a Sony EX mount. Therefore it is supposed to take this lens. Re whether or not it is a viable upgrade, I would say that you will see and feel a great increase in build quality and pleasure in using it. It will be the difference as in going from a good quality family automobile to a luxury level sedan. As to the sharpness, going from a good quality lens to an excellent quality lens you will have to have a trained eye, an eye that will see the increase in image quality, increased sharpness, better color, lessened distortion and lowered chromatic aberration. In short, you will see the difference if you look.
