Rode BOOMPOLE BAG reviews

Boompole Bag for Boompole, Shotgun Mic, Softie and Shock Mount is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent, not the best. Bag is too small for a 10' boom pole to be put inside with mic, cables and wombat attached. It simply won't zip up. And don't even think about having one of the pole sections anything other than collapsed when you're trying to travel. It's a soft case, so I should have figured it wouldn't protect too well, but traveling with this thing is asking for trouble. I take my rig apart (pole, mic, softie, cables etc.), because just one piece of gear gets set on this, and you're asking for a cracked mount or a dented mic, etc.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not long enough to accommodate a NTG4+ mic It's good quality, nicely made neoprene case, but it simply isn't long enough to fit a Rode Boom Pole, an Aurey shock mount and an NTG4+ mic in it. If I remove the XLR cable from the mic and slide the mic all the way forward in the shock mount, I can just about get the zip closed, but I shouldn't have to do this!! Honestly, I don't think it provides enough protection for the mic anyway, so I'll probably just start using the case for the boom pole alone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Picture is misleading I bought this bag and I was under the impression, based on the picture, that it would hold my rode blimp and boom pole, but the bag is simply not big enough to hold the blimp. (with or without the pole attached). I guess this is just a bag for the pole itself?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too short for Rode gear I have a Rode boompole and Rode shock mount. The bag is too short for the shockmount with a mic, as pictured in the photo. I can barely get the bag closed with the shock mount attached to the boompole. With a mic on it, it would be impossible.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs more pockets NIce carrying bag, but could use more pockets and better padding if you're putting an expensive shotgun mic inside.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gets the job done Bought this boompole bag for use with my Rode Video Micro microphone and boom pole. I wish they made a bag that was made specifically for that setup, but this gets the job done. The bag is quite big for the smaller setup and there is a ton of extra space for other accessories. It's nice for transport of the boompole, but doesn't provide much protection. I would recommend for those looking for an easy solution for storage and transport of your boompole.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Way too short I thought the idea of this bag was to carry your pole/blimp/mic all setup and ready to roll. Not so, the only thing this will hold is the pole with everything off. Not very useful. After wrestling with this one, I think you need something around 40 inches if you want to be able to just toss your setup in a bag and go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality - Perfect Both in size and weight this case is extremely nice and quality. It's flexible so you can fit more than a boom pole and microphone. I typically am able to fit a boom pole, 30ft XLR Cable, Spare AA Batteries, Shock Mount, RODE NTG-2, Wind Guard, Dead Cat, Zoom H5 and headphones all in the bag. Worth buying
