The MD-350 from Tascam is an affordable, rack-mountable MiniDisc recorder ideal for applications in live theater, houses of worship, and project studios. The MD-350 uses version 3 ATRAC encoding to record up to 320 minutes of audio on a standard 80 minute MiniDisc. Multiple analog and digital I/Os are provided so the unit can connect easily to any existing sound system. A front-panel PS/2 keyboard port is provided for title, track, and TOC naming and editing.
An auto-cue function positions a cued-up track where the audio begins, rather than at the track ID. This eliminates dead space at the beginning of a cue, perfect for live applications that use tight cues. An auto-ready function automatically pauses the MD-350 when it reaches a new track ID, which allows you to start a cue and not worry about manually pausing or searching for the following cue. Other features include a pitch control, timer play function, and program and shuffle modes.
