Shure RK100PK Overview

The Shure RK100PK is a Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) rejecting preamplifier for all Shure MX series microphones. The RK100PK features radio frequency interference properties that reject radio noise due to nearby transmitters, powerful 2-way radios, grounding issues, etc. The preamplifier features a standard 3-pin XLR output connector. An external phantom power source is still required to power the MX series microphones.

Works with WL-18x mics

Shure will tell you these do not work with mics like WL-185, 185m and similar models. They DO WORK with them. We used 5 of WL-185 and WL-185m in our studio for live election night discussions. Worked beautifully. Freed us up from routine frequency interference in downtown DC

You would use an MX series Shure microphone with a TA4F/Mini-XLR 4-Pin connector, connected to the side of the Shure RK100PK - Radio Frequency Interference Resistant Preamplifier for Shure MX Series Microphones (Black) that has a TA4M connector. You would connect the XLR Male side of the Shure RK100PK to an XLR Female connection mic input, that is equipped with phantom power. There are no screw terminals on the Shure RK100PK.

Will this product work with the Sure CVL Centravers lav mic?

N it will not. This microphone uses a TA4F Connector. The Shure RK100PK preamplifier features a standard 3-pin XLR output connector.

Yes. This Countryman mic is specifically wired for Shure transmitters which is what this preamplifier works with.
